(DLC-839ATX-1) This is the stem that attachs to the discs that are used to slice and grate. It is for use on the DLC 8 Cuisinart food processor. It has a sliding mechanism that is pulled back to attach it to the interchangable discs. You just line up the arrows. If you are replacing parts for older machines; you may have had discs that each had their own stems. For replacements; you have to now buy the stems and discs separately. The discs with attached stems are no longer available. We sell this and a wide array of new and old Cuisinart parts if you lose or break one!
