This is the plainest holder for any size pillar candle. It is clear glass with a small lip. The glass coaster measures 4" across outer rim and ~3.25" across inside rim. A 3" pillar candle will fit nicely inside. There is a slight "foot" underneath that is ~1/16" from the base of the glass coaster. Flat glass coaster is ideal for holding pillar candles as well as for use as an elegant coaster at your next dinner party.
