The large clay cooker holds a 14 lb bird or roast. It also cooks stews and ragouts perfectly. You soak the pot for 10 minutes; fill; place into a cold oven; and turn it on. As the oven reaches the cooking temperature; the clay pot will slowly release steam. Because it makes such healthy; delicious food; clay pots have developed a cult following. Excellent for low fat cooking. Also works very well in the microwave. Hand wash only.
