The large clay cooker holds a 14 lb bird or roast. It also cooks stews and ragouts perfectly. You soak the pot for 10 minutes, fill, place into a cold oven, and turn it on. As the oven reaches the cooking temperature, the clay pot will slowly release steam. Because it makes such healthy, delicious food, clay pots have developed a cult following. Excellent for making no-knead bread. Works very well in the microwave.
