Hand-made cookable tagine is lead and cadmium free and safe for stove-top use at low temperatures and oven-safe to broiling. The key is to place the vessel on a cold burner or in a cold oven to start (do not preheat!). Prior to the first use you will need to cure the base in water overnight and then allow it to air-dry for at least 24 hours. Hand washing is recommended. The tagine measures 9.5" tall x 12" wide.
